While he was here I didn't care for his arrogance and theatrics, but was hoping it would lead to some on-court success. And I was pretty concerned about the meltdown at the end of the season, but was willing to wait to see what he could do next year after one season here. But the way this went down, and continues to go down, it's not just sour grapes, I'm glad that shady turd is gone. He just seems like a shitty person (and I know people said that long before he came here).

Can somebody explain the story about State investigating whether LSU improperly induced Wade and all those other big lawyer words?

I get that it was all underhanded and shady but what exactly what was legally wrong about it? Every school approaches coaches (and/or their agents) while they’re still under contract with a current school. So, like, what’s the improper inducement? The words are large and my brain is small

You know how Trump likes to sue people and the ppl settle just to not have to deal with it? Thats what state wants to do to LSU. Squeeze a few more dollar bucks out of them.

Idk maybe not exactly that, but if lsu is paying buyout, why do them a favor and help them save a cool million. If they can recoup the money, why not. They can say they did us a favor by allowing us to search sooner, we did them a favor too by allowing them to get him sooner

Ultimately i don't think lsu wants this to get ugly and settles

^^ I think wade and LSU both knew he was going to leave way before the buyout drop off date, but held off on announcing to closer to the date so that they can negotiate a lower buy out. NC State will probably try to at least recuperate the full buyout and maybe punitive. #NotALawyer #TotalGuess

^ that’s what I was thinking but then we agreed to a settled buyout of 4M instead of 5. So by agreeing to that negotiated buyout figure did State not essentially wash its hands of the situation. Seems like the time to dig our heels in would’ve been when negotiating the buyout.
