Louisville loss puts them 2 games behind us but they have a tiebreaker on us, so we only have a 1 loss buffer. We have the tiebreaker over UNC, so UNC was already 2 games behind us. Louisville is favored to win out their remaining schedule whereas UNC is basically a lock to have one more loss. Seems like Louisville losing was better for our odds.

Yeah. We’re a totally fine basketball team but nothing special. We’ve kinda just shut the bed against any good team we’ve played.

It’s kind of a weird team. We’ve had clearly worse teams in the past that have had the ability to just get hot and beat anybody on a given night…but otherwise be worse throughout the entirety of the season. This team i guess has a higher floor (except the GT debacle) but just can’t punch up. Which feels odd because it seems like this team would have the firepower to get red hot and beat anybody. But we never have those nights against good teams. Probably a sign that we don’t have a high ceiling.

I think we’ve played 5 ranked (currently teams).

Completely uncompetitive in 3 of those. Lost in OT to Kansas. And destroyed UNC when they weren’t at full strength.

I hope we’re competitive vs Duke but not counting on it

We actually didn't play *that* bad until the final 10 minutes or so. I think it is a bit of this team's deal that once they realize the game is out of hand, they do let the score get run up on them way more than they should.

If we came out with a better plan to deal with UVA's physicality on defense, the whole game could have gone differently. We started off slow again and a lot of that was UVA just dominating defensively. We did dig down and overcome the slow start with some pretty epic defensive play of our own in the 1st half, so that is at least an improvement over some of our other slow starts this season.

We have head to head over UNC and Clemson so that’s nice at least. Miami has head to head over us and UNC so they feel pretty safe for top 4.

I guess in the simplest terms we need to match or beat UNC and Clemson’s record in the final 3. Which seems like 2-1 is most likely for us and UNC. Clemson is reeling, I’d be surprised if they manage 2-1. But if we go 2-1 and Louisville 3-0 then we’re out, I think.
