Saw two official government propaganda ads last night on broadcast TV. Sickening.

"Paid for by the U.S. Government"

Thanks Obama.

Quote :

"Smith–Mundt Act of 1948, especially after later amendments, restricted domestic dissemination of U.S. government public-diplomacy material that had been created for foreign audiences. The 2012 modernization substantially relaxed that restriction, allowing material produced for foreign audiences to also be made available inside the United States. The standalone bill’s title explicitly described its purpose as authorizing domestic dissemination of information “intended primarily for foreign audiences.”"

Rest assured, these commercials were not geared toward or prepared for foreign audiences.

Dude's got a habit of thinking something that's obviously unrelated is somewhow relevant. Even when the quote he provides makes its clear that's it's not relevant.

These taxpayer-funded propaganda ads are atrocious.

Are stations obligated to air any ad buys?

There's no way this can be legal, but clearly the strategy is just to do whatever the heck you want until legal challenges can play out months later. It's insane.

Obligatory "can you imagine if barack obama did this"
