I haven't heard it that way. The reports i've read made it sound like ukraine was offering to help, not that they've been asked by is. The subsequent report i read the next day(yesterday i believe)@"" mentioned they offered to provide the weapons they use to take down drones in exchange for interceptors. I got impression they were essentially being ignored because it seemed very one sided (all coming from ukraine)

That makes it seem like US is groveling, which i don't think is particularly accurate. If anything its making Ukraine seem over-eager. At least what I read. Can't say I blame them though
