In a representative democracy, that seems demonstrably false to me. It is important that minority groups are represented, too.

Ok, we need 1 trans, 9 gay (we have 2), and 13 African American (we have 14) senators. Does it count if you have a gay African American as two, or do you need all the combinations too?

We are when you look at every metric. I’ll agree we should end All racial DEI practices when it stops showing up in societal and economic metrics following the trend from the civil war
