Both gt and fsu were ranked higher than us when we played...so at least not totally unexpected to lose. now after the losses I have no idea what state baseball is. Above .500 I know that

Getting swept by GT isn't pretty either.

I've only listened to games for the most part, but seems like we only really have about 1-1/2 true pitchers this season. Batting could be one of our stronger rotations for the first time in several years, but they they seem especially susceptible to stalling out vs above-average pitching.

Interesting…we are switching the rotation around for the ND series. Dudan getting bumped to game 3 and Andrews/Consiglio are throwing game 2. We really need Dudan to get better.

No Marohn is our best pitcher, he’s got better stuff and is a lefty. Dudan has been okay but has struggled a bit since it seems a lot of hitters figure him out. This might be an Avent/Chrysler fuckup…he he’s been throwing upper 90s (like 98-99mph) even late in games with pitch counts over 100/110 on most outings, probably too much usage. At least we got FSU/GAtech out of the way, still have enough decent arms to make things interesting?

It sounds like he probably just enters the draft this year anyway. I guess some team still takes a shot at him relatively early, he was high on a lot of the draft boards

Winning the series against a middle-of-the-ACC Duke is a good way to get back in a groove, especially one being a run-rule.

Have the feeling we'll be going 2/3 in most of our series for the rest of the year given our pitching situation. Ideally, win the opener, and then decide if you'd rather win Saturday or Sunday and throw everyone and everything at winning one at the sacrifice of the other day, unless one of our (former) backup pitchers steps up big-time.
