Anyone try David bars? Pretty tasty, real small for having 28g of protein and not overly chewy. Some of those bars sometimes can be a chore. Kinda steep, $25 for 12 bars at costco, super rad calorie to protein ratio

I like ready clean bars, but like 1/4 the weight is added sugar. Much cheaper at usually around .85/bar. Close to 10:1 calories to protein ratio

What are some protein or energy bars you enjoy

I haven't ever heard of David bars.

I remember when I first learned about protein bars in the mid to late 1990's. They were these thick bricks that tasted kind of nasty. I think they consisted of dehydrated peanut butter, whey protein, artificial flavoring, tons of preservatives, and a binder. It was 12 ounces of crap smashed in a hydraulic press and packaged. Then it was sold for at least $3 a bar at shit stores, like GNC.

Thank you, advances in food science.

^^i'll guess 2g protein and like 18g carbs

^i never heard of them either until recently. Saw an add on fb about costco getting them. My neighbor phill got some free last week from CCA where he volunteers. A 4 pack at target is like 12 wtf

Def taste pretty good, have some EPG chemical thats like plant fat or something...potentially turns poo more orange and more oily(ppl on reddit), so far i haven't seen that

But so agreed on the evolution of protein bars. They used to be so terrible. Powerbars etc. metrx used to have a decent one then
