So trying brats is like my new salsa taste test

Got cheddar brats, hot and spicy brats, and hot and spicy sausage today. I still don't get what the difference is in sausages and brats. Look the same, similar calorie counts etc

Went to the website and saw some other flavors i want to try. Kroger has a green bell pepper and onion version thats not too great. Tried their beer brats(same as regular to me) Their spicy wasn't too spicy. My neighbor phill says the jalapeno and cheddar johnsonville are REALLY good.

Instead of a bun i wrap them in a low carb tortilla. They come out perfect in the air fryer!!

Anyone tried any of these? Phill said the green hatch were ok but not spicy

Cheddar brat- cheddar like nonexistent, just a regular brat
Hot and spicy brat- weird taste. Had heat, but the taste was offputting
Hot italian sausage- not a lot of spice but good taste anyways

Would get hot italian sausage again, not the others. Getting johnsonville firecracker sausage tomorrow

as far as Johnsonville goes, I only like original, Beer n' Brats, and Irish O'Garlic

my favorite brats are the fine ground ones from Usinger's -- they have a variety and they are all great
personal favorite is to get a box of the pre-cooked (with the fine grind) and toss 'em on a flat top then hold them in a beer bath Sheboygan style

There are a few others i saw that weren't on johnsonville website. Tailgate beats which are beer and cheddar. And cheddar and bacon. I'm thinkng any with cheese are going to be a meh for me based on the one yesterday. Was going to skip the parmesan and the irish one. Def want to try firecracker. Maybe i will try irish garlic now.

I don't think any of the irish in dfw. Tried 3 tom thumbs, albertsons, marketstreet, winco, walmart. Google searches etc seems nothing

Firecracker is ok but kinda has that distinct taste like hot and spicy, but less so. Jalapeno and cheddar is pretty good! I wish more heat, but taste is good

jalapeno cheddar brats are my favorite of the 7 or 8 various varieties of brats or sausages i've tried. Them or original!

Kroger didn't have the bratwurst version, but the chicken italian sausage is 110 calories, 5g fat 15g protein vs 260 calories 21g fat 14g protein of regular!

Cooking now but def might go with this from now on. Gotta find chicken brat version too!!

Got ahold of the chicken brats. They are also just ok. But the macros immensely better than pork, might switch over



The irving kroger(nice as fuck fr) had these. Tried them. Picture the hotdog chili in a can...it tastes just like that. Not bad, wouldn't get again though, or very rarely

They also had these:

Very good, better than johnsonville jalapeno and cheddar. About the perfect amount of heat, way more heat than johnsonville
